The simplest of presents cost little!
I had the privilege of visiting a certain very well-to-do and quite independent lady who always gave off a sense of lonely isolation.
The week before Christmas, for a number of years I would bake mince pies for the coming season and take her a plate withe half a dozen of these pastries to her house. She confided in me that this gift meant so much to her, hand made, they had take time to make and were personal.
Giving is about cost, but not necessarily about money. The cost of caring is beyond the money we spend and personal effort, putting yourself out is worth more than and expensive gift.
Why not be inspired to visit someone over Christmas. Just call in on a neighbour or telephone someone you know to be alone.
The present is in your presence!
