Christ be with Me.

Saturday 3 December

I really love the hymn ‘St. Patrick’s Breastplate’, the verse about Christ being all about us.
St Patrick’s Breastplate
Tomorrow is The Second Sunday in Advent and as the season continues it reverberates with calls to vocation, to self examination and recognition of Jesus alongside, within, above and below.

As you prepare for worship tomorrow, dwell for a moment on your call to follow Jesus, how you match up to God’s dream for you and your honouring of that presence.

Christ be with me, Christ within me,

Christ behind me, Christ before me,

Christ beside me, Christ to win me,

Christ to comfort and restore me.

Christ beneath me, Christ above me,

Christ in quiet, Christ in danger,

Christ in hearts of all that love me,

Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.
